home alone this morning. There's nothing to do than bring some leftover eggs white from few days ago and bake some cookies. With cookies, takashi's castle hour would be more enjoyable. Especially it's french cookies

langues des chats

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
2 egg whites
1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
melted chocolate

Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly butter baking sheet, dust with flour, shaking off excess or use greaseproof paper / spray. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and salt and beat well.
Beat in egg whites one at a time.
Mix in flour.
Spoon mixture into pastry bag fitted with 1/2-inch plain tip.
Holding bag straight up, pipe flat strips onto sheet in 3-inch lengths, spacing 1 inch apart.

Bake until edges of cookies are lightly browned, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Let cookies cool down then use melt chocolate to draw zig zag on your cookies.

happy baking!
